My tenure as vice-president of a mortgage bank added great depth to my knowledge of the industry and provided the impetus to share this knowledge with everyone - not just with investors.

Many times I met with prospective home buyers who were really "challenged" when trying to qualify for a good loan program. By good, I mean affordable and doable. Good people sometimes had past credit difficulties or a lack of verifiable credit history. I was able to find loan programs for them but often at a higher than prevailing interest rate and with up-front points tacked on.

It is my desire that this “retirement” project will find favor with the general home buying public by providing a little guidance in purchasing that first home and then upgrading, landscaping, remodeling and adding the final touches that turn it into a dream fulfilled.Â
