How to Build Your Free House has been a popular book for about 3 years now and has helped many people get into a home they had only dreamed of.

But, IMHO, it is not for everyone. In fact the method outlined by the author, E.S. "Mac" MacArthur, should only be undertaken if you are the type of person who thrives on the challenge of accomplishing something new and are willing to put out the effort required to achieve it. If you would rather keep "dreaming" rather than "doing" and "achieving" you would be better off picking up the latest issue of Better Homes & Gardens or attending some open houses this weekend.

I have to level with you on this. I have never followed the exact method laid out in How to Build Your Free House. From my experience in the mortgage industry and real estate investing, I can see no reason to stop anyone from doing this. The tips and techniques are valid. You just have to put them in practice.
